InterOp provides XML E-BOM schema (Engineering Bill of Materials), a set of predefined rules that direct how assembly data are represented in the XML file.

Using XML E-BOM schema, InterOp reads assembly data and translates it into a number of files and an XML file. A separate file is created for each part leaf node of the assembly. The XML file contains information about the location of each part in the assembly.

Note: Full assembly structure is exported into one file; subassemblies are not exported into separate XML files.
