Layer, Layer Filter, and Selection Set
The ACIS Reader provides the mechanism for exporting layers, layer filters, and selection set information created during earlier import to ACIS using InterOp. All information regarding layer, layer filter, and selection set like name, identifier, current status, entities in layer, layers in layer filters, entities in selection sets is exported.
Refer to Layer, Layer Filter, and Selection Set for more information on how the Layer, Layer Filter, and Selection Sets are written into ACIS. Similarly, to be able to write in the layer information into any format from ACIS, InterOp expects the same way as it writes the layer information into ACIS. For example, to write in the layer information into CATIA V5 format, CATIA V5 expects the complete set of information such as Layer ID, name, and state.
Local Coordinate System (LCS)
ACIS Reader provides support to export Working Coordinate System (WCS) from ACIS to other InterOp supported formats as Local Coordinate System or Axis System. Properties such as name and current status of WCS are exported.
Assembly
The ACIS Reader supports Assembly representation (ASAT or ASAB).
BRep
The ACIS Reader supports BRep representation.
Mesh
The ACIS Reader supports Mesh representation.
