Advanced Covering is a feature of Deformable Modeling that is now available as a standalone add-on for the 3D ACIS Modeler. This single API uses sophisticated algorithms to create high-quality n-sided surfaces that meet user-specified tolerances for position and tangency on boundaries and on optional internal guiding geometry.
3D Springback is a shape modification tool which can be used to correct for predicted or measured spring back effects in sheet metal stamping. Users control the desired shape change by specifying before and after positions (points) or edges (wires). Also, fixed positions, edges, or faces can be specified. The modification can be applied to arbitrary ACIS bodies.
EDA Mesh provides 2D and 3D meshing capabilities to the EDA 3D Analysis Suite. This meshing subsystem has a concise, unified ACIS-style API for configuring and creating surface or volumetric meshes from ACIS bodies. EDA Mesh is tailored to provide all the configurability needed for EDA analysis workflows with minimum implementation complexity.
Deformable Modeling is a more powerful alternative to traditional surface modeling techniques such as control point manipulation and lofting. Using an energy-based optimization strategy, Deformable Modeling minimizes the energy stored due to bending and stretching.
3D Mesh is a meshing subsystem that includes a bridge component between ACIS and the Mesher, and also provides users with access to the meshing library interface directly. 3D Mesh users have full access to all the power and flexibility of the VKI Meshing library for general-purpose meshing applications.
GGCM (General Geometric Constraint Manager) is a generalized 3D variational constraint solver. The GGCM-ACIS bridge (or GA_bridge) is a component provided by Spatial to access GGCM from within an ACIS application. The GGCM-ACIS Bridge provides functions for applications to specify a set of constraints between geometric entities and solves them to give a set of modifications to the geometry which satisfy the constraints.
